I don't know what she uses instead, but I know she suggests quinoa flakes to keep it kosher for passover.artsycraftsyivyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10884274247410617128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2120799145024687094.post-50701477228845570552011-12-20T06:10:31.862-08:002011-12-20T06:10:31.862-08:00I'm not Jewish but when I seen this I so much ...I'm not Jewish but when I seen this I so much wanted to make it. It was excellent and very tasty. I made some changes because I didn't have all the ingredients like tomato sauce instead of tomato paste, veggy broth instead of the wine and left out the worchestershire. We had it with home-made bread. Thanks. It's a keeper.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2120799145024687094.post-469962055268540812011-04-21T13:02:43.205-07:002011-04-21T13:02:43.205-07:00Sorry - I should have added this to the other comm...Sorry - I should have added this to the other comment : If I was going to make this without the veggies I would probably just skip to the oven section and bake the Gardein with the coffee sauce. I think that would work but probably won't be as tender put I think it would still be good. :)Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13212364723982980295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2120799145024687094.post-69328465637594834112011-04-21T12:59:17.769-07:002011-04-21T12:59:17.769-07:00Hmmmm. The mashed potatoes did a little better but you have to keep 'em pretty small. Sorry I don't have a better suggestion. I need to revisit it and figure it out. :)

Thank you for the Jew-ish joke... I was thinking about adding the "meat" part to our Easter dinner. Half the family is vegetarian or vegan, so there are already lots of vegan side dishes in the works, including potatoes & carrots. I'd like to add something more and this looked interesting.Gallery Galhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07804437799873183796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2120799145024687094.post-21399057820654354062011-04-18T17:07:44.570-07:002011-04-18T17:07:44.570-07:00Actually, I'm very disappointed. Totally not kosher for Passover in any way shape or form. As a kosher vegan who manages to remain vegan during Passover with a lot of planning and searching for appropriate recipes, I would have loved to have found something truly useful. As it is, with all due respect, your suggestion not only useless, it's totally inappropriate. I hope next year you'll manage to find something those of us who respect the Holiday and its traditions can use.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2120799145024687094.post-8171924331700524262011-04-18T11:00:07.054-07:002011-04-18T11:00:07.054-07:00I've never cooked my charoseth; I had no idea!...I've never cooked my charoseth; I had no idea!

Katie, matzoh brie: http://a-soy-bean.blogspot.com/2010/04/leftover-matzoh-moms-vegan-matzoh-brei.html!Abby Beanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03060920122127099172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2120799145024687094.post-2105908780110910292011-04-18T08:50:59.354-07:002011-04-18T08:50:59.354-07:00BRISKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
